Alkaline Phenolic Resin
The self-hardening alkaline phenolic resin process, also known as the α-set method, involves mixing sand with alkaline phenolic resin and an organic curing agent. The mixture cures at room temperature to form strong, precise molds and cores.
This binder system is especially suitable for the production of alloy steel, carbon steel, high manganese steel, ductile iron, and aluminum alloy castings. As an eco-friendly phenolic resin, it offers lower emissions and excellent environmental compatibility.

How to Use
• Add theHQG curing agent to the sand and mix well.
• Then add the alkaline phenolic resin curing agent and continue mixing.
• Total mixing time: 5–60 seconds, depending on equipment and production scale
• Recommended Dosage:
‒ Resin: 1.1–2.0% of sand weight
‒ Curing Agent: 20–25% of resin weight
(Dosage may vary depending on ambient temperature and required demolding time.)
