Water Based Casting Coating


Xinda's water based casting coating is an eco-friendly solution designed for sand mold, core, and metal mold casting processes. Using water as the main solvent, it significantly reduces VOC emissions, eliminates flammable risks, and enhances workplace safety. Ideal for use in resin sand, water glass sand, and lost foam casting, the water based coating for sand casting forms a protective refractory layer between the mold and molten metal—effectively improving surface finish and preventing defects.

Instructions for Use


 Stirring: Open the container and stir thoroughly using a pneumatic stirrer to ensure uniform suspension.

 Baume Measurement: Use a Baume meter to test the eco-friendly water based coating's density. Adjust viscosity through dilution based on application method (brushing, dipping, or spraying).

 Mold Preparation: Clean the water based coating for casting surface using compressed air to remove any loose particles.

 Application: Apply evenly from top to bottom and left to right. Ensure uniform thickness (recommended 0.3–0.5 mm depending on casting requirements). 

 Drying: Place the coated mold in a drying oven until completely dry before pouring.
