V-Process Coating

Preventing sand adhesion: In V-Process casting, the mold is prone to sand adhesion under vacuum. The coating isolates the molten metal from the sand. Using aggregates with high refractoriness and improving dry strength and wear resistance helps prevent sand adhesion and enhance casting surface quality.

Maintaining pressure difference: After the film burns out, the mold and cavity are likely to deform or collapse due to equal pressure. V-Process coating maintains the pressure difference between the mold and the cavity. Increasing coating thickness and density improves mold stability.

Preventing sand washing: Sand may be washed into the mold by molten metal during pouring. Enhancing the coating's high-temperature adhesion and ensuring full drying can prevent sand washing.

Aiding gas emission: Gas is generated from various factors during production. Appropriately improving coating permeability allows gas to escape the cavity through the coating, reducing defects such as gas trapping and blowholes.

Application guide:

1. The coating shall be stirred sufficiently with a stiring equipment and then added with alcohol and stirred again to obtain homogeneity and desired range of baume degree;

2. Coating thickness is determined according to casting weight, wall thickness and other conditions.


Storage and Shelf Life:

Keep in a cool and ventilated place away from fire and heat, Shelf life is 6 months under normal conditions.
