Venting Rope

Castshield core venting rope is a dedicated venting material for sand casting. It is woven from plastic filaments with a hollow braided tubular structure covered with mesh pores. During pouring, it quickly discharges gas generated by sand moulds and sand cores under high temperature, fundamentally reducing blowhole defects of castings and improving casting yield. It serves as an ideal pre-buried venting solution for resin sand and sodium silicate sand processes.

1. Flexible structure, bendable freely to fit contours of complex sand cores. Resists collapse under compaction during mould filling, ensuring stable pre-buried forming.

2. Continuous and smooth venting passages with high gas drainage efficiency, suitable for castings with closed inner cavities and complicated structures.

3. Burnable and carbonizable under high temperature. No hard residual impurities after pouring, separable in reclaimed sand screening without contaminating reclaimed sand.

4. Simple operation. It replaces traditional venting processes using wax threads and leads, reduces drilling operations for core making, and lowers scrapping risk from sand core damage.

5. Non-toxic material with safe application, no adverse reaction with moulding sand or molten metal.

Application Scope

Applicable to various sand moulds and sand cores such as resin no-bake sand, sodium silicate sand and oil sand. Widely used for manufacturing medium and large castings with complex inner cavities including construction machinery, pumps, valves, box bodies and cylinder blocks.
